AGING REDEFINED

  • Injectables are the most popular cosmetic treatment in the United States. They are used to relax facial wrinkles and folds (such as “smile lines”), contour the body (such as reducing the appearance of a “double chin”) and improve the signs of facial fat loss by creating structure, framework and volume to the face and lips, for example. There are different types of injectable procedures that improve various areas of concern.*

NEUROTOXIN (BOTOX® & Dysport®)

Botox® and Dysport® are FDA approved medical treatments used to temporarily relax targeted muscles and allow for the improvement of moderate to severe wrinkles. The muscles most often targeted are those used for frowning and squinting. With the use of neurotoxins, visible expression lines and wrinkles will soften and smooth out. Typical Botox doses range from 20-50 units dependent on specific needs. Treatment is recommended every 3-4 months.*

INJECTABLES FAQ

What is Botox Dysport used for?
Both Botox and Dysport are a prescription injection administered by a licensed healthcare professional to treat moderate to severe frown lines (those wrinkles between the eyebrows). Medically, it’s a botulinum neurotoxin (abobotulinumtoxinA), an acetylcholine release inhibitor and a neuromuscular blocking agent. It temporarily prevents specific muscle movements that cause frown lines.
How long does it take Botox and Dysport to work?
Though results vary, over half of users see improvement in moderate to severe frown lines between the brows within 2-3 days.
What are the side effects of Botox and Dysport?
The most common side effects are bruise, headache, injection site pain, injection site skin reaction, eyelid swelling, eyelid drooping, sinus inflammation, and nausea.
How long will my Botox or Dysport last?
On average, Botox and Dysport injection results last 3-4 months.
Who is an ideal candidate for dermal fillers?
Dermal fillers are generally most successful for men and women who seek a non-surgical method of facial enhancement. They can also be an ideal treatment for individuals wishing to avoid a prolonged recovery period or excessive downtime. If your aesthetic goals include temporarily correcting the appearance of facial volume deficiency, wrinkling, pronounced creases, or fine lines, dermal fillers may be able to provide the results you desire. Those considering treatment should be in good overall health and not be pregnant or nursing.
What are fillers made out of?
All fillers offered at FIXX are made out of Hyaluronic Acid (HA).
What is Hyaluronic Acid?
Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a naturally occurring substance that is already found in your skin. It helps keep skin plump and hydrated. HA fillers are typically very smooth and gel-like, are gradually and naturally absorbed by the body, and may even be dissolved if the treatment is undesirable. Most HA fillers are also infused with lidocaine to help minimize discomfort during treatment.
How long will my fillers last?
Depending on the location and your body's metabolism, fillers will last anywhere from 6 months to 2 years.

***Please avoid taking Motrin or Ibuprofen for 1 week before your treatment***
